This idea has been kicked around for several years now. A single location where anyone can post a trail report.
Any trail, any information, downed tree, other danger conditions, unwanted activities, trail improvement ideas, new trail suggestions.
The blogger assumes no responsibility for correcting any particular problem but we will help. Dangerous conditions on any trail should be reported to that land manger as soon a possible.
FIRST REPORT
A large tree fell across the Fern Trail, just north of the timber bridge connecting Fern to Park. That tree is now removed. A hand saw and ax go a long way.
SECOND REPORT
The City trail crew spent some time on the trails east of the Piney Z parking area knocking off the edges of puddle creating holes so the water from future runs would train out.
THIRD REPORT
Someone has removed a portion of the orange flags used to mark areas of possible enhancement at Munson Hills and Twilight. If you see this happening please let the Forest Service know, or give me a call at 544.5040
There is a good-sized tree down across Red Bug near marker #29 (I think that was it), very close to the creek crossing.
ReplyDeleteAlso, there is a tree down across the "West Loop" of the Overstreet bike trail, about half way around (from Meridian trailhead) on the southern portion of the West Loop. A new detour trail is starting to form...
Is there a way to start new threads or are we supposed to post comments to the older posts?
Hey Tom, For now commenting here is the best we have. We are trying to figure out our best options. The forum might work better, we'll see. Chuck Goodhart should get an automatic notice of your post and this one. I'll check to make sure the system is working, he'll have someone remove the tree you've reported down at Red Bug. I need to figure out who our contact is at mclay for the tree down at Overstreet.
ReplyDeleteThe main trail at Alford Greenway is flooded at several places. Mostly shallow but long stretches of water.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update
